I’m the only person in Ireland that uses “Brainwave Entrainment” or “Scientific Hypnosis” What is this amazing New hypnosis called “Scientific Hypnosis”? Well its the use of light and sound technology, or just sound, plus the benefits of clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy added with the advantages of “The Power of Suggestion” to the inner mind which guarantees the state of hypnosis beyond dispute!
Any hypnotists that work with me or alongside me are trained personally by me in my methods. So be assured that whether you see me or an associate of mine he/she is trained in the methods that I use.
Dudley also uses techniques such as command hypnosis, ericksonian and permissive style hypnosis. He uses both direct and indirect suggestion, reframing and NLP techniques, and conscious autosuggestion. These are some of the most powerful techniques known.
So what is Hypnosis?
Well all these other sites and therapists will tell you that it’s a nice state of subtle permissive relaxation and so on and so on. They say that all hypnosis is self hypnosis and that is true to a small degree. But if I told you my RED clinical script book which is red, was purple with pink spots, and you answered me and said it was RED, this means you use the conscious mind. That’s its job and its function, to answer that its Red. HOWEVER in the trance or hypnotic state, that mind, the subconscious mind couldn’t care less if it was pink with purple spots or blue with yellow spots! It just accepts what I am saying. That is hypnosis, you do or accept what is suggested. You open your mind to a fresh exciting new way of looking at things!
You see hypnotism is about empowering your mind through suggestion. Hypnosis is the power of suggestion. It’s the power that words have to change how we think, feel act behave and respond for the better in our lives. So if hypnosis is about the words that we use and suggestions, people ask me, are they suggestible? Well look at it this way. You see if you weren’t suggestible, well then you couldn’t learn. And as we have all been learning all our lives, this means we are suggestible. It’s how we learn therefore we are all suggestible in some way shape or form.
So hypnosis is the power of suggestion, Right? Exactly, so suggestion by definition has been described as a subconscious realisation of an idea! In other words it’s something that you think about in your mind that manifests itself in the physical form in your body. An example is if I take a bitter sour lemon and cut into it and……..now to emphasize this suggestion, Im going to suck that lemon now, and as I suck it you can feel the saliva start to flow in your mouth. The saliva glands start to work without having to think about it! Notice it? The unconscious idea of something sour in this lemon, has suggested to your inner self the occurrence of a physical phenomena. That’s the basis of Hypnosis. Powerful stuff.
Who cant be Hypnotized?
There are generally 3 types of people that cant get into hypnosis. They are firstly, someone who is incoherant or under the influence of alcohol. Two, someone who has a very low or below average IQ, and thirdly someone that just doesnt want to change their ways. All the rest of us CAN get hypnotized. Its an amazing feeling being in the hypnotized state.
Hypnosis is not Sleep
Hypnosis is NOT sleep. Some clients say: “Was I Under?” “Was I hypnotised because I was not asleep!” “I heard and remembered everything, therefore I was not under…” Well as said hypnosis is not sleep, it is a very comfortable and focussed state of mind. Many people ask ” Will I wake up?” Well there is nothing too wake up from because you are not asleep.
